I'm Done......and here's why!!!

Well to those of you who know me, this will, or should come as no shocker. However for those of you who don't know me as well, or might think you do....this should clear it all up.
So.....all of you know that I am completely and 197% committed to my daughter and my husband. I tend to try and accomplish to many things in my life, and yet still have time for these two. Well, I'm here to tell the world....I'M DONE! I'm done running, I'm done trying to make everyone else happy, and most of all I'm done not giving them my all.

My heart aches when I'm away from them. I drop Cadence off at daycare at around 7:15am, and I don't see her again until I get home around 5pm. I was going to the gym with Tracy, and even that got to be a pain in my rear...(and not from working out)!! Tracy has a different schedule then I do. She's at a different place then I am. She can come and go for the most part, I can't, and I'm perfectly okay with that. Once at home, I felt like all I was doing was giving her a bath and putting her to bed, and that's only if Kurt hadn't already given her a bath. This isn't enough for me. No matter how badly I want to loose weight.....I want to be with my daughter and husband more.

A wise woman (Royal) told me not to long ago, "Candie, don't push it, enjoy this time with your daughter, because before you know it she will be grown and heading off to kindergarten". I honestly see that now. Cadence changes everyday. I am not willing to miss a moment right now.

She crawled for the first time last night. I mean all the way across the room, and we were there to capture the moment. My eyes filled with tears, and when I looked at Kurt, well let's just say.... he's a proud Daddy!! These are the moments I cherish. These are the times that will bring back wonderful memories, and I can tell Cadence later in life that WE were there!

So to all of you that may start to think that I have gone into hibernation....I HAVE!! :) I'm not ditching you, just stepping out until I am ready. Bring on those cold winter days where the three of us can curl up and simply hang out at home.
I mean really.......who could give this up??

So as the mother of 3 who are now ages 15, 8, and 3, I have this to say... this is why there is sooooo much space between my children. I was afraid if I had another I would miss something with the baby I had. Yes, the firsts are great but just wait till you know it is your last child... you REALLY don't want to miss anything!

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
