Knocked down....but we are all back up again...

Whew...what a week. I have been absent from my blog these past few days...why you ask....well to put it nicely..........I have spent A LOT of time in the bathroom. The whole Dearing family was pretty much out of commission this whole past week. I got sick on Monday afternoon, Cadence and Kurt on Tuesday and Wed. Man, I tell ya....it sure does take the life out of ya.

I hate being ill, and more then anything I HATE having a sick husband. I think in all honesty, men should be shipped off to a private island to whine and cry, and when they are all threw, they can come back!! HOLY COW!! God love him, but whew he's a cry baby that's for sure!! I stayed home with him on Wed. to take care of Cadence for him, so he could rest up, and then his mom came over on Thursday for the same thing. Call me crazy....but I do recall being in the bathroom all night on Monday night by myself hacking up every last ounce of food/acid my stomach was holding, and then some. Did anyone come to rescue me....nope. Kurt acted as if I were a leper, didn't even hug or kiss me goodnight. Yep, it's gonna take a while for him to make that one up!!

However, like I said we are all recovered now, and life is back to normal!! It's a 3 day weekend for Bird and I, so we are just chill-laxin!! Mom is having a Jan. B-day dinner for herself, my brother and Kurt tonight. Tacos!! yummm!! So a little family time should be fun!!

I'm off to finish the 3rd book of the Twilight series.....it's a sickness really!! A sickness I will welcome any day!! :)

You should so blog more often, its great reading material. I as well will welcome the sickness of Twilight anyday, not the shootin poops though..No thanks to that one. I also agree about husbands being shipped to a island, maybe they can all take turns taking care of eachother or maybe it wouldnt be the quietest island ever as they all die together...ok a little morbid yes, but it a huge gripe of all women. Havent started book 3 yet, doing some major house work, but in due time my eyes and mind will be in Forks. Xoxo Edward....
wow, the whole family sick at once, not fun! I agree with the sick husbands thing, big babies! Glad you are better and I am sure you will catch up to all those missed meals in no time~!

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
