Roll On!!

We had a great time this weekend. However let me just say for the record....you Moms out there with more then One child.....You are AMAZING!! :) (I suppose I will earn my wings soon enough) I had the nephew all weekend and when you get those two together....watch out. It's the biggest game of Monkey See Monkey Do I have ever seen!! It's pretty cute most of the time, but there are those times when I wanted to lock myself in the closet and hide!!

We had a skating party on Sat. to attend and so I told the kiddos we would go get them their very own skates so they could practice before we went. They were pumped! Little Man was a bit nervous, but was excited for the new adventure. So off we went to Target to get some roller skates. Bird got a pair of Dora skates, and Little Man got Spider man. We had to go see Nana at work so they could show them off. I told them that once we were done visiting Nana that we needed to go home and take a nap so they could be big and strong for some roller skating.
Lord....the big and strong idea didn't work out so much. Neither kiddo took a nap, and before I knew it, it was time to get ready to go. The Husband made it home in time to help me load them up and head to the rink. I was soooo excited. Do you know how many Friday and Saturday nights I had spent at the roller skating rink? I was sad though...no skating for the mom to be!! We got there and the music was pumpin, and the kids were a plenty!! It was soooo hot in there! Bird was loving the music from the get go.

We got the skates out. Bird looked so stinkin cute in her Dora skates. Little Man was waiting patiently for the Husband to get his out of the package.....until.....we discover that Little Mans feet were wayyyyy to big!! He was sooo sad. I told him that we would get him another pair that fit, but that they had big kid skates he could wear. Excitement was on his face again! We got them all laced up and ready to go. Bird was just clomping all around, and little man was being wheeled around by the Husband! Neither one of them wanted to try the rink just yet.

The Husband wasn't going to attempt to skate....we can't afford to have him out of work. So cousin Angie said she would skate with them. Little Man got out there and made it a few rolls before his little legs gave out and he had to have three of them help him back to carpet safety!! He was soooooo proud of himself it was too cute. Bird never tackled the rink, but we have plenty of time for that. They played games, ate cupcakes and rocked out to the music!!

Once we got home they ate dinner and were both worn out!! 7:30 pm and they both were begging to go night night!! We loved having the nephew over, and Bird loved it even more!

Until next time!!

Ahhh I know how you feel! We went last September for Emerald's birthday and all I can say is WOW!!! It's funny I was never nervous about all the little wobbly kids when I was a kid...but I have panic attacks out on the rink now. Fearing if I fall, I could take out 5 or 6 of them in one quick move! Looks like you all had a good time...Poor Hunter and his HUGE feet! LOL

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
