It's hard to believe that two years ago I was laid up in a hospital bed waiting for her to make her grand entrance! She is the center of our world, and the light in our eyes. We held her 2nd Birthday here at the house. We had a huge bash for her 1st, but this time we thought we would cut it down and have just something small for mostly family and a few of our closest friends. We still had quite a turn out. It was so good to see everyone, I was a bit worried Mother Nature had thrown a curve ball into our plans when she dumped over a foot of snow on us on the first day of SPRING!!
I decided this year to make her cakes myself. I made a jello cake and 24 cupcakes that were my rendition of ladybugs! Nothing fancy, but they sure were yummy! I decorated the house while Bird took her nap this am. When she got up she could not believe all the balloons...she was in Heaven! I need to give a HUGE shout out to my Mom, Nana, she came bearing snack foods and had all the balloons aired up for me! I was just going to do cake and ice cream, but Mom knows best! Once again nothing fancy....but Yummmm!!
Bird got sooooo many cute clothes! I was so glad to see only a few toys! This little girl has way to much as it is! Of course Mommy and Daddy got her a toy, but she won't get it until tomorrow on her real B-day! :) She is definitely set in the spring/summer wardrobe category though!!
The house is now back to normal, the Bird is bathed, and we are all a bit worn out!! All there is left to say is....Thanks to everyone for the gifts, and the great company. Most of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our little Bird!! We love you to the Moon and Back!!!
