A Day With The Dinos!!

During my week off, Nana and I took the kiddos to see the Dino exhibit at Union Station. We weren't sure what to expect...let me just say WOW! They were so huge! I wasn't sure if we were going to get little man to go in. He heard the roars...and he immediately grabbed Nana's hand and his little shoulders came up and you could tell he was a bit terrified!! (Super cute though) As for Bird...she would shake and then growl back!! Little tough girl right....well yes, until she came face to face with that first life sized Dino. She came around the corner...and stopped dead in her tracks. She stood stunned for a moment, and then slowly started backing up. All Mom and I could do was laugh! It was soooo funny! Nothin like a big mechanical Dino to put that little 2 year old in her place!! From that moment on it was a pretty fast paced tour through the Dino's. They seemed to like it though...but only at their pace!! LOL!!

Once we were done, Bird and I went into Build a Dino (Note to self...NEVER do this again,,they charge an arm and a leg for those oh so cute stuffed animals)! We got her Dino stuffed and dressed, and met Nana and Little Man once they were done picking out Little Mans toy of choice...which I must say was much cheaper!! LOL!!

We headed to pick up some lunch and then to the park for a little fun in the sun! I loved this day! I love spending time with the kiddos and my Mom!! So glad we had this time together!! Can't wait for my 12 weeks off! I have crazy plans! (like sleep, change diapers...sleep, laundry, and so much more)!!!

Delaney still loves her Dino that she got from the TRex at the legends two years ago...so yes they're over priced...but a good fun toy! I love the pic of her looking terrified! Is that mean? LOL Your 12 weeks will be here soon and let me just remind you it flies by...sadly mine is coming to a close. Seems like just yesterday she was born...Enjoy every moment, even the moments where you want to pull your hair out cause she wont quit crying or you have had no sleep or Kurt is late coming home....I love you and you're gonna do great! =)

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
