Home IS where my heart is!!

After being away for a week, I was practically running to get home!!  I arrived home at about 7pm on Friday.  I walked in the front door and Goose saw me and made a mad dash for my arms!!  Bird was trying to hide, but the excitement was too much, she too ran into a huge embrace!!!  Man I missed these two babes!! 

I need to give HUGE and I mean HUGE props to the Husband!!  He was amazing through out the whole week!!  My Mom was gone so he was really on his own!  Tt of course checked on him every other day, and I think it made he feel pretty great that he could tell her..."thanks for checking, but I am ok"!!  Yes, Tt, thanks for checking on my family while I was away, it meant a lot having you let me know how amazing he truly was doing!!  :)  He got the girls up earlier then they were used to, got them dressed and made it to work on time 2 out of three days!  He set up skype for s, so I was able to talk to them each night before bed.  Of course there were tears!!  Bird started getting upset on Wed. and Thursday, she just kept crying for me to come home!!  Broke my heart! 

I did what I needed to do up in Minnesota, I passed all my tests and got my underwriting authority.  I will admit, I did have a great time.  It's funny how little you know people if you don't work on the same team with them day in and day out.  I came home with two great gals I will forever call friends!  They really helped me keep my sanity throughout the trip.  Heck one only lives 2 blocks away, so walking buddies we will be!!  We only visited the Mall twice, got stuck in a Tornado warning once, and abandoned at Walgreen's as well.  I mean really...who couldn't have a tight bond after something like that!!  They really are two great gals!!

Once we landed in KCI on Friday I couldn't get my bags fast enough!!  I was ready to be HOME!!  The love I got from my family when I got home made the time away all worth it!!  I love them all so much!!  Not saying that if I were to ever do it again it wouldn't be just as hard....but at least I know they were in the BEST hands next to mine, and he did AWESOME!!

So to my Husband....THANKS!  Thanks for being an amazing man!  Not only do you provide for us, but you in all aspects of the word..."TAKE CARE" of us!!  You Husband....are our world!!  Thanks for being the best daddy husband, and friend a girl could ever ask for.

I'm so proud of you for surviving the week. I'm glad Christy checked in...I didn't want to be that guy that kept driving him crazy. I knew he could do it. You can tell Kurt is a great dad just in the short visits we get with you guys! I knew he had it, heck he even had time to put a window in the shed! You are so lucky to have a husband like Kurt that can tackle anything! Glad you made great friends along the way and proved to yourself that you are strong!!! Love you!

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Fun with Friends!!

Nothin says fun like a little splash park fun with friends!!  Myself and the girls along with Tracy and Dalton made it to the park at about 11:15am and then we were joined by Russ and Austin, Aimee, Matters, Johnna and her girls!!  We were there for about 2 hours and they all had a great time!!!  Goose just loved it!  Walked ALL over!!  Gonna hit the park up again tomorrow with Aunt Tt, Brody, Nana and Little Man!!  Can't wait!!  We love all this outside time!!

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
