4th of July festivities makes for one VERY busy weekend!!!

Well lets just start with....

Friday night: Friday night I hadn't been home more then 15 min when we were all out on the back deck and I hear this horrible screaming noise only to find out it was the A/C  unit on the side if the house.  Yep, hotter then you know what, a holiday weekend, and our a/c shoots crap!  Of course the Husband goes into straight panic mode shuffling through the phone book.  All of our people we knew who do that type of work were wither already working, or out of town.  Thank goodness we found a guy on call who thought he could be at our house by 7am.  We decided to go ahead and stick it out at our house for the night, knowing if it got to hot Nana's was just a few minutes away.  It's just easier to be at HOME when you have kiddo who love their own beds!!

It really wasn't bad, warm.....yes, but we all have ceiling fans, and slept with no blankets.  Let me tell you...that little guy sure did show up at 7:15am and had us back up and going by 9!!

Sat: Since the Husband had taken the day off to make sure the a/c got fixed, we had the rest of the day together.  We ended up going over to Aimee's with lunch, and then swimming the rest of the afternoon!  It was really so relaxing, and all three kids love the water!  Bird is honestly her mothers child!  We headed home about 5 o'clock.  We were all beat.  The whole house laid down and took a small nap.  Then we loaded p and went down to get our fireworks!

Sun: HAPPY 60th to my Dad!!  The girls and I got up bright and early so we could go to breakfast with my dad and my Aunt Darleen.  Wow...what a turnout there was....and guess who forgot her camera!!  Way to go me!!  The gang included...My Dad, Me, the girls, My cousin Steve and his girlfriend Ava, My Aunt Darleen and Uncle John, My Cousin Karen and her husband Vic, their son Justin with his family, and little Steven.    Once we were done with breakfast, we headed home in the RAIN!!  Ughhh of course it would rain on the day we had a suprise party planned for my Dad!!
The rain actually was good and gone by 1pm.  We had to do some last minute running, then we got home and waited for Kurt to get home to head to my brothers.  We got there and sooooo many folks were already there!  It was really nice to see everyone!!  My Dad was shocked to see so many familiar faces!!  The Kruger's came out, and so glad they did, the kiddos just have a blast together!  I am telling you....that little Bird and Garrett....they seriously are the best of friends!!  I will do everything in my power to keep them close!  It's such a unique bond they already share at such a young age!  Between shooting off fireworks, they would get on the little double swing and I promise.....they sat there swinging for like 45 min.  Not really sure if they even talked the whole time!!  I just loved it!!  Beth and Kenny showed up as well!  Beth is gettin her cute little belly bump finally!!  Baby Chole will be here before we know it!!
The kids all were so great with the fireworks!! We had no accidents, no injuries, and a great time watching them.  Bird impressed Daddy and I!!  She has NO fear!!  She was lighting stuff off left and right!!  They all had a great time with the parachutes...lighting and then chasing them down!!  The Husband of course had to have his fun as well.  Lets just say he had some BIG fireworks, and was just feening to blow stuff up!!  Well what did he find?   A bucket and then yep....Flour!!  I must admit....the flour was pretty cool!  I snapped the pic at just the right time, and you can see what happens when you blow up flour....it combusts!!  Huge fire ball!!  Nana came and got little Kenley.  She was having fun, but since we were outside the whole time, and she doesn't have the walking down to a T just yet....there wasn't a lot for her to do.  So she was more then willing to go home with Nana and get some good ol quality one on one time!!
We ended the night with some great big fireworks!!  We ended up taking Little Man with us so he could stay the night.  We went by and picked up Goose from Nana, and headed home!  They were all sooo sleepy.

Mon.: They sure were!!  They all slept in until 10 am!!  WOW!!  Nana came over to visit before she had to go to work.  Of course she came bearing gifts....new swim suits for the kiddos!!  Just perfect for the water park!!  Once Nana left and Kenley laid down for her nap, the two older kiddos and myself headed for Pierson Parks free splash park!  It was great!!  We seriously had the whole place to ourselves for about an hour!!  Tracy and Dalton even came to play for a while!!  You could see the kiddos wearing down, so we loaded up and headed home!  The husband took Little Man home around 5pm, and then our little family of four headed out to Corporate Woods for the fireworks display!!  We found a great spot, put our blanket out then decided to walk around!  Bird got a $3 dollar stamp which meant unlimited bounce house fun!!  She went down the same slide I think 97 times!!  LOL!!  We had cold stone creamery ice cream, and just hung out and waited for the show.  We even saw our friends Shannon and Madison!!  Sooooo cute she is!!
Kenley loved being out in the fresh air!  She was so good about just staying on the blanket and hanging out!  Once the fireworks started, she was a little startled at first, but then she was just a smiling and clapping everytime one would go off!  It was so much fun watching the girls light up!  Bird and I laid back and snuggled up and watched a great show!!  We had a great time...all except trying to get out!!  Holy traffic!  It seriously took us 45min to an hour to get out of the woods!!
All in all it was a very busy but FUN weekend!!  I can't wait to see what next weekend and the one after that hold!!  I just LOVE being with my family!!  Stinkin work!!  :(

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Fun with Friends!!

Nothin says fun like a little splash park fun with friends!!  Myself and the girls along with Tracy and Dalton made it to the park at about 11:15am and then we were joined by Russ and Austin, Aimee, Matters, Johnna and her girls!!  We were there for about 2 hours and they all had a great time!!!  Goose just loved it!  Walked ALL over!!  Gonna hit the park up again tomorrow with Aunt Tt, Brody, Nana and Little Man!!  Can't wait!!  We love all this outside time!!

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
