New Years Eve 2011

We MADE it!!  Yep, it's true....we actually made it to midnight and had a really great time doing it!!  The Wood family came over for dinner.  Tracy made an excellent veggie tray.  I even conquered a fear and tried sugar snap peas.  Yes, I loved them!!  It was pretty amazing!  LOL!  We had fruit and fruit dip as well.  The main course was some oh so yummy steak on the grill, and pasta salad.  We were all so full after all of it!  Us ladies drank some wine while the men had a few beers. 

The kiddos were running around like crazy.  Goose was saying Buubbbbb-uhhhh all night!  It was so cute!  They laid down on my bed to watch Cars 2 (I don't think they made it very long though)!!  Us adults played a game of Scategories...and I must say it was some funny stuff!  I wonder....has anyone ever been to Mt. Washington???  LMAO!!  Once our game was over, it was only 10pm and we were worried we weren't going to make it.  We called to check on the neighbors and they were in the same boat, so they came over for a game of Catch Phrase!  HILARIOUS!!

OMG we were cracking up!  The kiddos were going strong....except our little Bird.  She was missing.  I went up stairs to check on her, and there she was all snuggled up on our bed fast asleep.  Not Goose she was in it for the long haul!  She was so tired she was crazy!  The rocking horse that she was so scared of before....she rode it like a champ on a mission! 
Once we got about 10 min. away from midnight, we broke out the sparkling grape juice and our plastic champagne glasses!  It was so much fun!!  We all yelled Happy New Year, and gave our spouses  and kiddos hugs and kisses.  Seriously 5 min. after midnight everyone was leaving and we were going to bed!  I didn't clean up anything, and that was perfectly fine!  :)  It really was a great relaxing way to spend the New Year!  Maybe next year we will plan ahead a little more!  Everyone can always use a kid friendly place to hang out on New Years Eve!!  :) 

Thank You 2011 for all the wonderful memories.  The obstacles we faced, and the mountains we climbed only to get to where we wanted to be!!  Welcome 2012 for all you hold in store for us!!  We can't wait!!

WE had a blast! Those shoulder blades I told you were hurting so bad...yep I think its from passing Catch Phrase around and the hysterical laughing that was involved with "smokin cigarettes watching...porn" comment!! I still crack up. I was thrilled over the sugar snap pea tasting!!! Until next NYE!
PS: I'm going to tour Mt. Washington you just wait and see!!!

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Fun with Friends!!

Nothin says fun like a little splash park fun with friends!!  Myself and the girls along with Tracy and Dalton made it to the park at about 11:15am and then we were joined by Russ and Austin, Aimee, Matters, Johnna and her girls!!  We were there for about 2 hours and they all had a great time!!!  Goose just loved it!  Walked ALL over!!  Gonna hit the park up again tomorrow with Aunt Tt, Brody, Nana and Little Man!!  Can't wait!!  We love all this outside time!!

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
