Paradise Park

What a great family day we had yesterday!  We all got to sleep in until almost 8am!  WOW!!  Much needed I tell ya!  After we got up and around, the Husband went to the store while the girls and I took a rest...(mind you it's now like 11am).  Goose was sooo sleepy, so she indeed did take a nap.

Around 2 we loaded up and headed out to Paradise Park!  We had soooo much fun.  We only did the children's museum and the foam factory this trip, but we can't wait until summer for Go-carts and putt-putt golf!!  We had so much fun "playing" with the girls!  We played in the ball pit which I couldn't hardly get Goose to leave!  We painted faces...which is one of my favorites!  I want to find these face crayons for here at home.  We had a little water playtime....holy moly that water was chilly!  Goose kept putting her hand in and then pulling it back really fast and saying..."Brrrrr"!!  We had them bake us pizzas and pour us drinks.  We shopped at the local grocery, and took turns checking each other out.  Heck we even went and got more money from the bank!!  :)
We took a break from play time to get some real energy out!!  To the Foam Factory!!  Holy BALLS!!  LOL!!  They were flying everywhere!  Wouldn't you know the Husband and Bird went to the top and launched an all out attack on poor Goose and I!  We were all cracking up!  Goose even left me to go to higher grounds at one point!  We stayed in the foam factory for about an hour, then back over to the museum we went for story time, art and crafts, and even cooking time!
The girls really had sooo much fun!  Bird loved the child sized toilet and sink they had there!  She kept saying...."Mom, they are just my size"!!  It was so cute!  I just love watching our little sponges soak up all they can!!  I can't wait to see what this summer will hold in store for us!!  (Next Blog)
We will definitely be re visiting Paradise Park soon!!

P.S.  Goose has now had two successful potty days!!  She has a lot of help from her older sister who is obsessed with letting her use "her toy-let"!!  The best investment we ever made was the child/adult toilet seat all in one from Lowe's!!  The girls just don't do the potty chair!!

Belly Button Be Gone!!!

Goose had her hernia surgery done last week.  I was a complete wreck.  I know it isn't invasive, however it's still your baby going under anesthesia.   We had to be at Children's at 1:30 for check in.  Goose had no idea what was going on.  She was just as happy s can be.  It was just Goose, myself and Daddy, Nana picked Bird up from school and was keeping we busy until we were home.   When they called us back she got all her vitals checked and was a champ.  We changed her into a gown and she got to play while I spoke with the nurse, anesthesiologist, and the surgeon.  When the nurse told me that they would most likely intubate her, tears just rolled down my face.  In my line of work...intubation is never good, it's a way to sustain life.  I know that in this case it's just a way to know for sure they don't stop breathing during the procedure. The Surgeon came by to see us before and let us know what would be happening.  We work...

Baby Bird turns 16

I'm still not sure how our first baby girls is 16!  I remember not only her birth story, but I remember loving being pregnant with her so much.  Except the heart burn, I could have done without that!   Beautiful Bird you have become such an awesome young lady.  One that I am blessed to be your Mama.  Your love of life truly shines through in any and all settings.  People are drawn to you for your huge heart and understanding ways.  You make friends easily, and teachers and coaches adore you for the hard worker you are, but mostly because you are a true team mate.   I love how close we are, and how close you are to your sisters.  The moments when we just get to hang out and talk life or not even talk at all and just enjoy each others company are some of my most favorite times.   I love when you get excited about things or when something really makes you laugh, I wish I could bottle that joy up and keep it forever.   We are ...
